Business Development Representative - Terminal Measurement Solutions

💼 Key Responsibilities
- Network Activation: Leverage your existing relationships with terminal operators, measurement supervisors, operations managers, and terminal leadership to introduce our solutions.
- Relationship Building: Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and local energy events to build and expand your network within the terminal operations community.
- Strategic Prospecting: Identify and target decision-makers at terminals, refineries, and logistics hubs who are responsible for custody transfer,
measurement accuracy, and compliance. - Outbound Outreach: Execute warm introductions, cold calling, email campaigns, and LinkedIn outreach to engage prospects and create qualified opportunities.
- Qualification & Discovery: Conduct initial calls to understand operational challenges around metering disputes, reconciliation issues, and measurement confidence.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule qualified meetings and demonstrations with key stakeholders for technical presentations and deeper discovery.
- Market Intelligence: Provide feedback on industry pain points, competitive landscape, and buying patterns from your conversations and network
insights. - CRM Management: Maintain detailed records of relationships, activities, and pipeline progression.
⭐ What You Bring
- 3-5 years of experience in or selling into the Oil & Gas terminal, midstream, or bulk liquid storage sector.
- Established relationships with terminal operators, measurement teams, or operations leadership, OR demonstrated ability to build such networks quickly.
- Understanding of terminal operations including custody transfer, tank gauging, flow metering, or loading operations.
- Track record of leveraging relationships to create business opportunities.
- Strong communication skills and comfort initiating conversations with technical and operational stakeholders.
- Self-motivated hunter mentality with ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel (20-30%) for conferences, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Based in Houston, TX (preferred but not required for exceptional candidates).
